Tuition, Room & Board, and all related ISP fees are due at the time an international student arrives to the school for the start of classes. Tuition & Fees for the year is $13,195 and may be paid in its entirety before the first day of classes, or it may be paid in two equal installments.
The two equal installments: 1) fall term of ISP fees of $6,750 paid on or before the first day of classes in September, and 2) the spring term tuition of $6,750 paid on or before January 25th. Students are not allowed to begin classes in any term in which their tuition is not yet paid. Once the student has entered his first day of class, tuition for that semester will not be refunded.
The Room & Board fee for the HORIZON Host family is paid to the family by the month. This fee is collected from the ISP student’s family in advance and paid to the Host family through the current semester regardless of the length of time the student is actually living with the Host family.
Host families often make investments, arrangements, and have expectations related to having an international student living in their home, and the sudden departure or early withdrawal of an ISP student during the school year would leave a Host family without relief or recourse.
Additional Fees or Discounts
Sports Fees
A Sport Fee is charged each season for participation in sports. The Sport Fee varies by grade and sport. The Sport Fee must be paid separately by the participants prior to the first practice. The Sport Fee is charged per sport, per student, prior to the season. In addition, a student must have had a medical Physical Exam within 6 months prior to participation verified in writing from his doctor, with results written in English. 08/09 Sports Fees will be posted prior to the start of the school year.
All international students entering above ninth grade may have to wait 12 months before playing a competitive sport. First year students who belong to an agency that is CSIET approved may participate without any waiting period.
Any International Student, who desires to play sports with Horizon under OSAA, must be approved through a CSIET- approved organization. This approval may include an additional fee for a letter of approval status.
Bus Service Fee
There is a Fee for riding the Horizon school bus, if a student lives in outlying area where bus service is provided. The 08/09 Bus Fee and schedule will be posted prior to the start of the school year. |
