Varsity basketball teams will begin practicing the end of May for the summer basketball league so coaches are needed immediately.

Sept 7 - First Day of School! Sept 8-10 - Jonah Ministries Retreat for 7th-12th graders Sept 14 - Band Night for 5th Grade Students Parents and students will have an opportunity to hear more about learning an instrument and participating in beginning band. A representative from Columbia River Music in The Dalles will be here to help students become acquainted with different instruments and make a choice for their band class. Horizon Christian does have some instruments available for students. Sept 16 - Parents Night Parents only - Meet the staff, learn more about expectations and processes in the classroom. Sept 17 - Day of Prayer The Christian community including Horizon Christian students and families, pastors and churches, and community Christian organizations are invited to be a part of the Annual Day of Prayer. Returning in the fall of 2010, join others for a time of prayer for our children, the school, our nation and world. Meetings are held each Wednesday at 8:15am in the Sanctuary.
