06-11-13 - New Inductees to National Honor Society Four students were named to the National Honor Society and honored in a ceremony and reception on Friday. The students, all guys, join the original five girls. The newest members include Luke Kempf, Conner Moon, Austin Re-qua, and Shaun Wang. Congratulations!

05-23-13 - Lee/Goetz Memorial Golf Tournament in July The 2nd annual Lee/Goetz Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on July 13, 2013. Proceeds of the tournament will benefit the Horizon Christian School athletic program. Marc Lee and Dale Goetz were both graduates of Baptist Christian School, a forerunner of Horizon Christian School. The tournament format will be a 4-man scramble. You can sign up as a team or as an individual to be placed on a team. Click here to fill out the form and submit either via email, drop off, or mail in. 05-21-13 Triple Threat Summer Basketball Camp Offered Again Horizon will once again be offering a summer basketball camp to students in the Columbia Gorge area. The camp will be June 17-21 Session I, for students entering grades 4 - 6, is from 9 am to noon; Session II is for students entering grades 7 - 9 and will be from 1 to 4 pm. The camp emphasizes a Christian concept of athletic competition and sportsmanship along with fundamentals. 05-20-13 - Horizon Band Performs in Idaho Competition Horizon Band placed first place in the Jazz Band category and second place in the Concert Band category at Music in the Parks at Coeur d'Alene, Idaho!! Their goal was a superior score and they received one superior score for their jazz performance! Way to go! 03-12-13 - 2013/2014 Tuition Rates Set
The Board of Trustees has set the new tuition rates for 2013/2014. Click here to download the 2013/2014 Tuition Fees Schedule. The board continues to be committed to providing an excellent program and budgeting wisely to cover those costs, including teacher salaries, the tools teachers need, and overhead costs. They also continue to be committed to working with families who demonstrate a need for financial assistance through financial aid and scholarships.
What Does a Horizon Graduate Look Like? Horizon Christian School has developed a document called, "What Does a Horizon Graduate Look Like", which focuses on three desired outcomes for each student in the areas of Academics, Biblical Truth, and Character Development. Last spring the document was used as a tool in exit interviews with graduating seniors. That data, from both graduates and their teachers, was shared at the summer retreat of trustees and teachers and is being used to give direction and aid in continued program development.
